Over 150 high school students in JAG programs across the state converged onto the Phoenix College campus for our annual JAG Student Leadership Development Conference.

JAG Partners with Neighborhood Ministries to support Central Phoenix Youth
JAGWorks partnered with Neighborhood Ministries to offer a 3-Day Leadership Bootcamp for Central Phoenix youth. This training was designed and facilitated by JAG Social Services Coordinator, Kasarah Abdella, in two hour intervals each week to allow for reflection time between sessions and topics. Participants learned about job readiness, teamwork, and leadership development, and completed a Build Your Resume workshop with Troy Maskell from Goodwill Industries.

A Story of Hope & Success
On a national level, Jobs for America’s Graduates has helped over 1.4M vulnerable youth over the past four decades and served more than 76,000 young people across 40 states in the 2020-21 school year. Despite the disruption COVID has caused, we are continuing to provide critical JAG services, including follow-up services and guidance for our students for a full year after they graduate from high school. This has been especially critical for the Class of 2020 as they face the most significant employment challenges in decades caused by the COVID pandemic.
