Celebration of Success

THE JAG ADVANTAGE

JAG programs give young people the advantage as they complete high school and prepare to enter the workforce. JAG programming, delivered in both school and community-based models, blends project-based learning, trauma-informed care practices, and employer engagement opportunities to help young people address and cope with challenges they face outside of school, learn core life and work readiness skills, and build a network for future success.

WHO WE SERVE
JAG works closely with our school and community partners to identify the young people who need, want and will benefit from JAG programming the most. Last year, across all programs, JAG served a diverse population of youth. The majority of youth served are from low-income households, many are living in single-parent households or with other relatives, and half have at least one parent who did not graduate from high school.

EMPLOYMENT & POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION

JAG measures the success of our programs based on the graduate, employment, post-secondary placement and connectivity rate of JAG graduates after high school. JAG’s track record tells a powerful story considering that many of these young people face overwhelming barriers that prevent success in school and work, including homelessness, lack of access to food at home, navigating challenges with substance use or abuse, incarcerated parents, and more. JAG Coordinators follow our Seniors for 12 months following graduation to ensure successful placement.
