Legislative Day

Legislative Day is designed to open dialogue between JAG students and lawmakers, offering a unique opportunity to learn about state government through hands-on activities. This event allows students to understand how they can become more involved in issues impacting Arizona and explore potential career paths in public service.

Event Highlights:

• Mock Legislative Session:

  • JAG students will participate in a Mock Session on the House floor, where they will engage in simulated legislative proceedings. This hands-on experience provides a deep dive into the legislative process, enhancing their understanding of governance and public policy.

• Luncheon with Legislators:

  • Following the Mock Session, students will join their district legislators for a Luncheon at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza. This informal setting encourages open dialogue, allowing students to discuss issues that matter to them and gain insights from their elected representatives.
