Legislative Day

Event Highlights:

• Morning Mock Sessions in the House of Representatives:
  Students step into the legislative process with Mock Sessions held in the House of Representatives. They’ll learn how laws are debated, discussed, and passed, gaining a deeper understanding of the policymaking process.

• Lunch with Legislators (11 AM - 12 PM):
  After the Mock Sessions, students will have the opportunity to join their district legislators for a more personal and engaging experience. Students will bring a box lunch to their legislator's office, where they can share their JAG journey, learn about the legislator's career path and hear about their responsibilities as a policymaker. This one-on-one interaction provides invaluable insight into leadership and public service.

• Capitol Tours:
  After lunch, students will take a guided tour of the Arizona State Capitol, where they’ll explore the rich history and significance of their state’s government.

Through hands-on learning and meaningful conversations with policymakers, students leave with a deeper understanding of their role in shaping the future.
