Over the past several months, Tohono O'odham High School JAG students have worked hard to develop their professional and leadership skills in their program through employer engagement activities virtually and in the classroom and attending events such as; the state Student Development Conference, Arizona Construction Days and more. As members of their Career Association, the students are expected to support the activities of their chapter, fulfill their membership obligations, attend Career Association meetings, invite new members, raise awareness and support, and always set a positive example to all you encounter. During the ceremony, the student Officers shared their Program of Work with those in attendance and committed to their leadership roles as they prepare to accomplish the goals they've set for themselves and their program as a whole. A touching moment in the ceremony was the candle lighting ceremony which symbolizes the students unity to help each other obtain their goals. DeAngelo Miguel of Tohono O'odham High School JAG also serves on the state student leadership team called the LEADS where he recently had the opportunity to attend the Virtual National Student Leadership Conference in November.
