Every year, students plan, prepare and host their own awareness event called the JAG-A-Palooza. Their hope is to raise awareness about their JAG Program on their school campus or community and improve understanding of JAG’s impact amongst their peers, teachers, administrators and community leaders.
Every JAG-A-PALOOZA is unique to the students each year as they decide on their engagement activities called the Program of Work and design the event to share about their experiences. Once the students plan out their event, they produce interactive stations, create visual displays highlighting the various components of their program and some develop digital media to share across social media platforms. During the JAG-A-Palooza event, the school's student, teachers, admin/staff and community partners are invited in to view each station and interact with the students. This interaction gives others an opportunity to see JAG students in a positive leadership role displaying their professional qualities and skills that they may not see often. The goal for attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the JAG program and to learn more about the experiences JAG students gain throughout the year.
