Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates (JAG) was thrilled to attend Desert Financial Credit Union’s 85th Anniversary Grantee Celebration. The event showcased the credit union's dedication to supporting Arizona communities.
Desert Financial awarded $320,000 in grants to local charities, with an additional $8,500 surprise gift for each nonprofit. JAG was honored to be among the recipients, having already received a $15,000 grant.
The celebration had a Hollywood theme, with JAG staff being greeted by a special star on the walkway. This symbolized their organization's impact on the community.
JAG President & CEO, Marjorie DeRubeis, expressed gratitude for the support. "This surprise gift is a testament to Desert Financial's unwavering commitment to uplifting the community and supporting the futures of our young people," she said.
The funds will help JAG enhance programming by supporting activities such as hands-on experiences, employer field trips and student conference attendance.
