Coolidge High School JAG students win 2026 Program of the Year Award at the 2026 Career Development Conference.
We are proud to announce that the Coolidge High School JAG program has been awarded the 2026 Program of the Year Award. This honor directly reflects strong commitment to student success and real-world readiness.
The JAG students at Coolidge High School are proving what’s possible when young people are given the right support and real opportunities to succeed. This impact shows the importance of the JAG Specialist, a dedicated, certified teacher who builds strong relationships, provides guidance and ensures students stay on track academically and professionally.
This year’s data shows that Coolidge JAG students are making real academic progress, staying engaged, and building clear pathways for their future.
- 81% of students maintained or improved their GPA: This outcome shows that students are making the connection between what they do in the classroom and where they are headed after graduation. In JAG, students learn that their effort, their grades, and their engagement today directly shape their professional future, with the support of a JAG Specialist who helps them navigate their learning, advocate for themselves, and stay on track.
- 75% of students improved their attendance: This outcome shows that students are engaged, invested, and learning what it means to show up and deliver. With every JAG student taking on a leadership role through the JAG Career Association. Whether elected or serving on a committee aligned to their Program of Work; students are not just participants; they are responsible for driving results as a team. That ownership shows up in meaningful ways.
- Each student completed an average of 28.85 hours of community service: Beyond academics, JAG students are actively developing as leaders and contributors in their community. These experiences build character and help students see their role in supporting and strengthening their communities.
- 100% of students toured at least one college or postsecondary institution: This outcome shows that every student is exposed to real options beyond high school and prepared to take that next step with confidence. Advancing postsecondary attainment is a priority across Arizona; and has always been a core part of the JAG model.
- 100% of seniors completed the FAFSA: This outcome shows that students are not just planning what comes next; they are taking the right steps to make it possible. JAG ensures that every student is prepared to access financial aid and move forward into postsecondary education or training without unnecessary barriers.
Together, these outcomes go beyond the numbers; they show what happens when students are supported and given real opportunities to succeed. This is the work of JAG; helping students graduate, build meaningful pathways, and confidently take the next step into their future. Being named the 2026 Program of the Year shows the commitment of the students, the leadership of the JAG Specialist, and the strength of the school and community partners who show up and invest in these young people every day.
