On April 28th, JAG was excited to announce six JAG Arizona seniors as recipients of the JAG National Smith Scholars! This year, more than 161 applications were received and only 23 were awarded. Arizona is very proud to celebrate the successes of our amazing students!

The Kenneth M. Smith Scholarship Fund and the Smith Scholars Program were established by the JAG National Board to recognize the extraordinary leadership and service of the President and Chief Executive Officer of Jobs for America’s Graduates, Inc., Kenneth M. Smith. Since 2009, the Kenneth M. Smith Scholarship Fund has awarded 154 scholarships. One hundred and twenty-four scholarships were for $1,000 and thirty-two were for $2,000 for a total of $188,000 in scholarships for JAG graduates. Funding for the KMS Scholarship Fund has come from JAG National Board members as well as the Western Union Foundation, Lillian Goldman Trust, Strategic Partnerships LLC and Corporate Education Resources, Inc.

As part of the T-Mobile #TossYourCap challenge, 27 additional $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to our students, bringing our award total to 50 scholarships for the class of 2020!
