The 2026 Middle School Career Development Conference brought Arizona middle school JAG students together to build employability skills, strengthen high school confidence, and explore future opportunities through hands-on competitions, workshops, and networking with campus clubs and employer partners.

JAG Arizona continues to grow a statewide network of opportunity through Pathway Makers, welcoming new partners who share a commitment to youth workforce development, career exploration, and long-term student success across Arizona.

During Faces of JAG Legislative Day, Paradise Valley High School JAG students had the unique opportunity to meet with Katie Hobbs after participating in a House Mock Session and touring the Capitol. The conversation gave students insight into careers in public service and allowed them to share how JAG is helping shape their academic journeys, leadership development, and future career goals.

From participating in mock legislative sessions to meeting with elected leaders and touring the Arizona State Capitol, JAG students experienced a day focused on civic engagement and career exploration during Faces of JAG Legislative Day. The annual event gave students the opportunity to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences while discovering how they can help shape the future of their communities and state.

Arizona Public Service (APS) welcomed students from JAG high school programs across the state for a full-day STEM career experience. APS STEM Day for Women gave students the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, tour a working power plant, and envision a future in science, technology, engineering, and math.

JAG Arizona is excited to welcome Silvia Capir to the Board of Directors. Appointed in November 2025, Silvia brings a wealth of experience in corporate partnerships, nonprofit leadership, multicultural engagement, and community development. As a first-generation college graduate and longtime advocate for education, Silvia strengthens JAG Arizona’s ability to connect students with transformative opportunities.

When Gila Bend High School senior Adrian McMahon joined the JAG program, he never imagined he’d be working alongside electricians and engineers at one of Arizona’s largest power stations. Through SRP’s direct funding and hands-on partnership with Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates, Adrian’s internship is providing real-world experience and opening career pathways before he even graduates. His story, shared at the 2025 Pathway Makers Awards Luncheon, is a testament to how employer-funded JAG programs can change lives and communities.

More than 150 students, employer partners, educators, and community leaders gathered at ASU West for the Pathway Makers Luncheon, an annual event that celebrates the power of collaboration and student success in creating real pathways from classroom to career.

JAG Arizona proudly welcomes Corina Chavez Ramsey as the newest member of our Board of Directors. Joining in November 2025, Corina brings more than 30 years of leadership in employee relations, organizational strategy, and public service. As the mother of two JAG graduates and a former Tolleson Union High School District Board President, she offers both lived experience and executive-level insight to support JAG’s statewide impact.

JAG Arizona’s State Officers spent Saturday, November 15, participating in an immersive leadership training with the Rotary Club, an experience designed to strengthen the communication, professionalism, and confidence they’ll need as they lead students statewide and travel to Washington, D.C., for the National Student Leadership Academy in December.
