Why Sponsor a JAG Student Scholarship?

Every year, hundreds of JAG students graduate high school—many as first-generation college students. These young people have overcome barriers, worked hard, and stayed committed to their futures. But for many, the cost of college or career training stands in the way. You can change that.

JAG students graduate at a 99% rate and 59% go on to higher education.
Your scholarship directly supports motivated students pursuing college, vocational training, or certification programs.
You choose the scholarship name, criteria, and focus (e.g., leadership, STEM, trades, community service, etc.).
JAG Specialists guide students through the application and selection process to ensure impact and alignment.

HOW IT WORKS

By establishing a scholarship through JAG, you directly support a student’s pursuit of college, trade school, or workforce certification—opening the door to new possibilities. Whether it’s $1,000 or $10,000, your generosity is life-changing.

You set the criteria.
We’ll help you design a scholarship in honor of a loved one, a professional field, or a value that matters to you.

We handle the logistics.
The JAG team, in partnership with the Dougherty Foundation, will manage promotion, applications, and distribution to ensure funds go directly to a student’s institution.

You see the impact.
You’ll receive personal stories, updates, and the opportunity to meet your student recipient(s) (optional).

JAG Scholarship Matching Powered by the Dougherty Foundation

Thanks to the generosity of the Dougherty Foundation, your impact goes even further for students attending an Arizona community college or university. The Foundation has partnered with Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates to match 50% of all JAG scholarships—amplifying every dollar contributed to help more students pursue their postsecondary dreams.

In addition to the match, the Dougherty Foundation supports JAG by administering the scholarship process, from collecting applications to disbursing funds directly to students’ colleges or universities.
